Milan, 2 September 2022 - Che Tempo Che Fa (Rai), Superquark (Rai) and Verissimo (Mediaset) for free to air, Skam Italia (Netflix) between OTT and Calciomercato – L’originale (Sky) for pay the television contents aired in August most commented on by the Italians.
This is what emerges from the continuous monitoring of Social TV carried out on 51 broadcasters in Italy by Talkwalker, a multinational of Consumer Intelligence. Through its Social Content Ratings ™ platform, Talkwalker monitors the Italian market, tracking interactions on social networks concerning the television offer and streaming providers in Italy.
The general ranking of August 2022 sees Che Tempo Che Fa (Rai) in first place with 1.8 million interactions (1 million on Facebook, 780 thousand on Instagram, 45 thousand on Twitter), followed by Superquark (Rai) with 1, 1 million interactions (915 thousand on Facebook, 50 thousand on Instagram and 105 thousand on Twitter). Verissimo (Mediaset) closes the podium with 930 thousand interactions of which 145 thousand registered on Facebook and 783 thousand on Instagram. In fourth place and first among the OTTs Skam Italia (Netflix) with 735 thousand total interactions (10 thousand on Facebook, 657 thousand on Instagram and 62 thousand on Twitter) preceding Calciomercato – L’originale (Sky) with 574 thousand interactions (492 thousand on Instagram and 82 thousand on Twitter).
AMONG THE ‘OTT’, FIRST SKAM ITALIA ON THE WAVE ON NETFLIX
Among the programs broadcast on streaming platforms, Skam Italia (Netflix) stands out first of all, ranking 4th in the general ranking and first among OTT publishers, i.e. all those broadcasters offering content via the Internet, with a total of 735,000 interactions, of which 10,000 on Facebook, 657,000 on Instagram, 62,000 on Twitter. Followed by Fantasy Football Serie A TIM (Timvision) in 8th place with 230,000 total interactions (6,000 on Facebook, 221,000 on Instagram and 3,000 on Twitter). In third place among the OTTs and 11th in the overall ranking Stranger Things (Netflix) with 200 thousand interactions (173 thousand on Instagram, 25 thousand on Twitter and 2 thousand on YouTube).
IN THE RANKING FOR CHANNELS SKY SPORT ONE WINS IN FRONT OF NETFLIX, THEN DAZN, SKY SPORT F1 AND SKYTG24
In the ranking by “channels” in August, Sky Sport Uno (Pay TV) ranks first, totaling 28 million total interactions (444,000 on Facebook, 27 million on Instagram, 615,000 on Twitter and 183,000 on YouTube), followed by from Netflix (OTT), with 4.8 million interactions (161 thousand on Facebook, 4.4 million on Instagram and 251 thousand on Twitter) and in third place by DAZN (Pay TV) with 4.4 million interactions (266 thousand on Facebook, 3.6 million on Instagram, 381 thousand on Twitter and 171 thousand on YouTube). The TOP5 is closed by Sky Sport F1 (Pay TV), with 4.3 million interactions (127 thousand on Facebook, 4.2 million on Instagram and 10 thousand on Twitter) and SkyTg24 (Pay TV) with 3.5 million interactions ( 1.1 million on Facebook, 2.3 million on Instagram and 100,000 on Twitter).
“In August specifically – explains Francesco Turco, Talkwalker Marketing Manager Italy - pay TVs generated 68% of the interactions, free-to-air broadcasters, 20%, and streaming, OTTs, 12 %. While the genres that had the largest share of engagement in August were for 51% those of entertainment and with 22% TV series / fiction; the remaining 27% is divided between talk shows and political insights, talent / reality, films and sports, with the exception of major sporting events. “
TG ALLNEWS: IN AUGUST SKYTG24 WINS WITH 3.5 MILLION INTERACTIONS
Taking into consideration, however, the three main channels of allnews SkyTG24 brings home 3.5 million interactions (of which 1.1 million on Facebook, 2.3 million on Instagram and 100 thousand on Twitter), followed by Mediaset TgCom24 2 , 8 million interactions (1.9 million on Facebook, 856 thousand on Instagram and 47 thousand on Twitter) and therefore RaiNews24 with 395 thousand interactions (249 thousand on Facebook, 107 thousand on Instagram and 38 thousand on Twitter).
